Depending on which type of corn you use, the taste and texture of this milk will vary. Yellow sweet corn has a sweeter flavor than white corn. This is the type of corn you’ll want to use in your milk. You can substitute yellow sweet corn for your white corn if you like a different flavor. The consistency of this milk will also vary depending on how much you use it.
Home-made corn milk is soft, velvety, and delicious. It’s a wholesome alternative to sweetened store-bought corn milk, which is usually made with high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), preservatives, artificial flavors and colors, and added sugars. Making your own is easy, and the result is much healthier than what you’ll find on supermarket shelves.
