Ingredients for caramel pork
- 1.5 lb pork belly
- 1 can of beer
- minced shallot
- minced garlic
- sliced ginger
- red chili
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- ½ tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp caramel sauce

How to make caramel pork belly
- Cut the meat into smaller pieces and sear them for 5-6 minutes until crispy. Set aside.
- In the same pan, saute the shallot and garlic until golden brown.
- Add beer, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, fish sauce, and sriracha, and mix well.
- Add the pork, ginger, red chili, and caramel sauce.
- Slow cook for 30-45 minutes until the pork is tender.
- Serve and enjoy!
How to make caramel sauce
- Heat up a pan on high heat,
- Add white sugar and wait for it to caramelize (sugar turns to golden brown),
- Lower the heat to medium, and continue caramelizing the sugar until it turns dark brown, then add water.
