Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 salmon salmon fillets

Cajun seasoning

  • ½ tbsp paprika powder
  • ½ tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp thyme
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp oregano

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cajun Spice Mix: In a small bowl, combine paprika powder, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne powder, oregano, thyme, and onion powder.
  • Season the Salmon: Rub the Cajun mix generously over both sides of the fillets, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Sear the Salmon: Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Once hot, place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side or until the salmon is cooked to your liking.
  • Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce: In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in Parmesan and oregano, allowing the cheese to melt. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Place the Cajun-spiced salmon on a serving plate and generously drizzle the Garlic Parmesan Butter Sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
