Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb pork belly
  • Minced garlic
  • Sliced ginger
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • ½ teaspoon peppercorn
  • ½ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Chop your pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a hot pan, sear the pork for 5 minutes on high heat, then set aside.
  • In the same pan, saute the garlic and ginger until becoming golden brown.
  • Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, vinegar, oyster sauce, and sugar.
  • Add one cup of water and simmer the sauce for 5-10 minutes with the lid covered.
  • Remove the ginger and add the pork.
  • Add another cup of water and the peppercorn.
  • Continue simmering on low heat until there is 20% liquid left.

Notes

Cut pork belly into cubes searing pork 1 searing pork 2 set the pork aside saute ginger and garlic  add the rest of the ingredients cover with lid and simmer remove ginger add the pork add the pepper corn cover with lid and simmer stir and simmer the pork
